The Reality Diet (Boomer Humor)

cravingsThere’s a thing I’ll label “The Law of Diminishing Resolve” that seems to apply to our determination to stick to eating healthy food.

We may begin a year, a month, a week, or even a day with considerable determination to follow a  healthy regimen, but as the days go by and/or our stress increases, our resolve decreases proportionately.

Here is a hilarious version of the “Another Successful Diet” which I found on the website www.babyboomerbaloney.com. I urge you to visit the website directly for more hilarity:

Breakfast:
1/2 grapefruit
1 slice whole wheat toast
8 oz. skim milk

Lunch:
4 oz. lean broiled chicken breast
l cup steamed spinach
1 cup herb tea
1 Oreo cookie

Mid-Afternoon snack:
The rest of Oreos in the package
2 pints Rocky Road ice cream
1 jar hot fudge sauce

Dinner:
2 loaves garlic bread
4 cans or 1 large pitcher Coke
1 large sausage, mushroom and cheese pizza
3 Snickers bars

Late Evening News:
Entire frozen Sara Lee cheesecake (eaten directly from freezer)
