Today, December 7th, is Pearl Harbor Day in the United States. It’s a day of remembrance for the day the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor – “a date that will live in infamy,” according to FDR.
More than 2,400 people lost their lives at Pearl Harbor. Ray Chavez was one of the lucky ones who survived.
Oldest Known Survivor of Pearl Harbor Attack
Mr. Chavez survived Pearl Harbor, and at age 104 he continues to survive and thrive. In fact, as pointed out in this video, he’s a “gym rat.”
Congratulations, Mr. Chavez. You’re the latest UpGraded Senior Superstar.
And for all you other UpGrading Seniors out there, watch and learn. At 104, Mr. Chavez is still hitting the gym!
We salute you, Mr. Chavez. Thank you for your service to the country and for inspiring seniors everywhere.
