Nola Ochs – 95 Year Old College Graduate

It’s time to honor another UpGraded Senior Superstar – another inspirational senior citizen.

This time, it’s Nola Ochs of Kansas, who graduated from Fort Hays State University at age 95 in 2007, giving her the Guinness Book record as the oldest college graduate. Remarkable!

But wait, there’s more.  As Nola herself said in the interview below, “We don’t ever quit learning.”  She went on to earn her Masters Degree at age 98, giving her a second Guinness record as the oldest recipient of a Masters Degree.

The last report I could find was that she was still going strong at age 104, which would have been a year or so ago at this writing.

It’s never too late to pursue your dreams.  Get out and do something you would like to do – something you enjoy doing.  You have to work at it.  Set a date to begin.  Do something.  Don’t just sit there.

Good advice for us all.  Congratulations, Nola.  You are an inspiration to young and old.
