Time for another installment of UpGraded Senior Superstars.
Save Your Lame Excuses
I live in a 55+ community and I can’t tell you how many times I hear some of us geezers excuse ourselves from exercising.
In fact, some of those excuses may have come from someone very close to me (ahem).
Oh sure, we have our excuses alright. “I’m too old.” “I’m too tired.” “I’m too sick.” “I have arthritis.” “I have too many aches and pains.” And on and on it goes.
Well, here’s what Ida Keeling has to say about all our lame excuses:
Get up and do things, even if you don’t feel like it! . . . Your strength is in you. If you’ve got a will, you’ll find a way!
So, who is Ida Keeling and why should we listen to her? I’ll tell you.
Ida just happens to hold the world record for the 100 meter dash for a person 100 years old. That’s just one of her many records, and she didn’t start running until she was in her late 60s.
Oh, and Ida can still knock out quite a few pushups too. Watch the video below and prepare to be impressed by another UpGraded Senior Superstar.
